KoganSad news for folks who were looking forward to see the Android in action on the Kogan Agora -- Australia's very own Android based device.
The phone made headlines back in December when it was announced and claimed that it would become the second Android based device to go in to production - after the launch of the T-Mobile G1 in October. However, the Agora's dream run seems to have hit a roadblock thanks to some unsorted issues with application compatibility.
Australian media reported that Kogan has stalled the launch of the Kogan to ensure compatibility with all future Android applications. Ruslan Kogan, the owner of the firm Kogan, that manufactures the Agora apparently had a meeting with folks over at Google to discuss these issues and then decided to delay the launch till the phone is made future-proof. If all had gone well, the phone would have been made available for sale worldwide on Jan. 29.
The new twist in the Kogan Agora saga came as a bit of a surprise because the company had displayed a working model of the Kogan Agora and the Agora Pro at the recently concluded CES.
