Samsung and Spint launched their second Android handset today at CITA Fall 2009. Called the Moment, this is a slideout keyboard model in fashionable black which will be available in the US from November 1st. It is to cost $179.99 on a 2 year contract, but thats after a $100 mail-in rebate. Customers can pre-order now at the Sprint website.
The Moment features a full slide-out qwerty keyboard, Samsungs first Android handset to offer this feature. It has a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen with the usual acellerometers but also a first for an Android device with its proximity sensor. Its no slouch under the hood either, an 800Mhz CPU ensures performance is up there with the best currently available. The Moment supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and support for Sprint's EV-DO Rev. A network.

Sprint offer the services they run on their other handsets on the Moment too: Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, NFL Mobile Live and, of course, you can download more apps and widgets through the Android Market. The handset also has a 3.2-megapixel camera, a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, Visual voice mail support, and up to 32GB expandable memory.
