MOTO has just announced its AMP range - that's the "Android Media Platform" - initially for developers. There is actually just 1 device available right now which sports a 5-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen, 246Mb NAND, 8-Megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and an OMAP3430 cpu. It runs Android 2.0 and the option to add 3G connectivity is via a module. This particular model is sized in the middle of a range of three, the others being 3.5 inch and 10 inch models. For those unaware by the way, MOTO is not connected to Motorola and have been making hardware like this since 1991.
With this range MOTO are one of the few earlier entrants to the Android MID marketplace, the other notable players being Archos and Dell.

The uses for tablet based form factor MIDs are pretty wide ranging. Personal Media Players are just the start - home automation controllers, industrial panels, field engineering data capture, restaurants ... you get the idea.
In fact "beyond the handset" is a key concept from them as they also developed Android based E ink systems and a home energy monitoring system:
