I Don't have a handset yet but I want to use Android marketplace to see a few of the applications that are available.
Is it possible to access the marketplace from the emulator? I've tried browsing to http://www.android.com/market/ using the emulator but cannot seem to download any applications.

Is the market place up and running? And is it available for the emulator?

That would be useful, but I too just t ried on the emulator and the icon isn't present. I suspect its been disabled. The marketplace certainly is up and running now, I have many apps on my G1 downloaded directly from it.

That's a shame, Is the icon an application or a link? Any chance of getting the application or link from somewhere so I can install it on my emulator?
