I created a /lib folder and placed my jar there, then in Eclipse updated the build path. This works in Eclipse. I'm concerned this may cause problems - is there some standard I should use? Will the deployment tools pick up my jars properly?

I just added the jar as a Reference Library in Eclipse (Java Build Path->Libraries->Add External JARs).
