New to the forum joined at Carl's suggestion as I have a question about printing and printer discovery.

Is it possible under the public SDK anyone got any pointers? examples I could look at ?

Did you get anywhere with this?
I think you'd need some external service to do it. Even J2SE printing cannot know of all the models and device drivers needed, so it uses the printer discovery mechanism.
When you see the likes of the BlackBerry doing it, theres always an extra to install locally, e.g. the HP printer driver.

I'm also looking in this area, not found any solutions yet, not sure if this has any significance but the security manager mentions print jobs.
