Let's get this straight right from the off - its launching in Korea only right now. For those still reading, this is an incredibly specced beast - the first Android 2.0 handset Korea will see. The MOTOROI (whats with that name? Accountants aren't supposed to have a sense of humour ;-)) is launching with SK Telecom. It's a multitouch device with a 3.7 inch 480x854 WVGA display, 8 Mp camera with Xenon flash and a 720dp HD camcorder.

MOTO has just announced its AMP range - that's the "Android Media Platform" - initially for developers. There is actually just 1 device available right now which sports a 5-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen, 246Mb NAND, 8-Megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and an OMAP3430 cpu. It runs Android 2.0 and the option to add 3G connectivity is via a module. This particular model is sized in the middle of a range of three, the others being 3.5 inch and 10 inch models. For those unaware by the way, MOTO is not connected to Motorola and have been making hardware like this since 1991.

Creative - yes those same folks most famous for their audio cards during the dawn of the PC era - have announced an Android based smartphone with almost impossible specs. They stress the Zii Trinity is a concept handset which may never make it to market, but nevertheless their reference design is just sitting there waiting for ambitious manufacturers to run with this amazing phone. It has full HD 1080p video playback - that's Blu-Ray quality - with HDMI output, plus a 5 Megapixel camera and 3,1 inch OLED multitouch display.
